SNOW SCIENCE

Push the sludge

We could go with the truck any further so we started pushing the sled at this point.

Half-Way through

I carried the stand for the GNSS base receiver 1.5 miles up the mountain at Mores creek. I am not tired! I am just waiting for the team to catch up with me. Photo credit: Gabriele

Base Receiver

We installed GPS base station at Mores Creek towards making it a world class snow validation site for future snow sensors. Many upcoming airborne flights in the next 3+ years will leverage the GPS station

Solar Panel and Power

We placed two solar panels the sun directions to charge the batteries that will power the GPS base receiver.
